Vinetas is an on-device AI storyboard generator for macOS and iOS. It transforms a writer’s or director’s cinematic vision into development storyboards — entirely on Apple Silicon, with zero cloud dependencies. There are no per-generation charges, no watermarks, and no feature gating. The only upgrade decision is choosing a bigger AI Model.

Vinetas brings professional pre-production storyboarding to any filmmaker, comic creator, or pre-vis artist working on Apple Silicon. Using open-source AI Models that run locally via MLX, Vinetas generates panels in the visual language of eighteen genre presets — from jidaigeki ink-wash compositions to symmetrical pastel quirky-indie framing — or from a fully custom style prompt. Six cinematic aspect ratios (Square, Wide, Ultrawide, Portrait, Panel, Strip) let users match every frame to its medium.
Generation is unlimited and entirely private. Prompts, characters, and boards never leave the device. The app downloads AI Models once from a CDN; after that, every generation happens offline. Fine-tuned controls — inference steps, guidance scale, and a reproducible seed — give artists the ability to iterate rapidly in preview mode and lock down results for export as lossless PNGs.
Vinetas ships two AI Models classified by the RAM they require: an 8 GB AI Model (available on the free tier) and a 16 GB AI Model (unlocked by a one-time $19.99 Pro upgrade — no subscription). Both tiers are fully unlimited; the bigger AI Model simply produces higher-quality, more prompt-faithful output. The app tells users which AI Models their hardware can run.
